Sorry, not quite sure what you're saying ... do you mean we should buy Japanese cars because they can't be rolled? :?
Lostboy:
I was sitting in some transport yesterday considering the nature of safe vs dangerous and green vs black.
There were a total of five people in this transport, none of whom had seatbelts on. Not even the driver. In fact, they weren't even fitted.
There is no way it would have survived a moose test and remained on all four wheels.
It was perhaps the most inefficient, un-environmentally friendly way of transporting those five people.
Pedestrian-strike friendly? They just go straight under the wheels, as sadly a couple of kids did here not too many days ago.
Congestion causing? Repeatedly stopping and blocking up a major city road.
Yup - a double decker bus. And they outnumber 4x4s round here by miles.

They are test-tilted as part of their certification, the top deck is loaded to represent a full complement (with no downstairs passengers)

Admittedly this is a static test, but then so is (I believe) Land Rovers maximum lateral angle??
I'll see if I can get some better pics, as the father-in-law is a Safety/mechanical inspector for Arriva buses in West Yorkshire
