superb pic ash,

can't wait to get my hybrid and tdi built!!

have you got a 300tdi auto box now then as can't see you going to a manual after for challenges. What does it run like?Stupid question after this pic but is their any thing you would do different if you could?

(thanks for the pics my the way, cheers, now got to finish that report for geography but it put it off for alittle longer!!!)

me xxx

landyman Ash:
Yeah its a TDi auto.

For off roading I would never use a manual gear box.  The auto box does several things:

1.Offers a smooth change through the box when climbing so you get no loss of momentum

2.As its not solid drive you are less likely to get anywheel spin and a more smooth drive

3.Once again, as its not a solid drive like a clutch you dont break anywhere near as many diffs and half shafts.  In four years, Ive only broken one half shaft and one diff!!  And its been pushed belaive me

4.No clutch.  Which means they dont fail, get ruined by water, slip etc etc.  Its basically maintenance free being a sealed unit.

You'll find once you had an auto in your off roader, you'll never ever go back unless you start getting into comp safari of the like.

When me meet up you can have a drive. You'll love the auto!!!
