The Fat Controller:
TOAY WAS THE BIG DAY FOR DUCK.
when he came to live with me he had a license from the ministry for 10 1/2 months, the renewal day was november 15th.i was not sure how we would survive at my usual test centre as i knew the tester had never tested a vehicle that was only powered by lpg.
i arrived early and presented duck's v5c so that all his details could be entered into the computer making sure that the tester listed his fuel type correctly as GAS.,once the tester was ready we drove onto the mot ramp and waited.
his Co reading was 0.09
his Hc reading was 68 ............. due lpg not allowed to exceed 300
PASSED WITH FLYING COLOURS the same for the rest of the test.
the only thing we were asked to add was an extra number plate light, this is due to having a second rear number plate positioned to the left side of the tailgate as the origional one is obscured by the swing-away
Jake:
Great news.
Such a relief when they sail through
hobbit:
If you are in doubt about the lpg setings you can have it tested on the petrol instead, as long as one passes you are ok
But as you have found out, the gas is normally ok if set up correctly, last time i was playing with the lightweight, I finished up using the test gear at the garage cause I was getting nowhere trying to do it by ear

HOBBIT,duck is LPG ONLY,there is no petrol tank only 120 litres of gas capacity,so i think you're right, the set-up must be correct
