Oh dear, that'll be a bit expensive then. I do feel a bit sorry for the guy, probably there but for the grace of god go I... Sometimes those fords are a little too tempting.

There's one in Wakefield that a good few years ago (20-ish?) used to be driveable in a normal car & you'd only get the tyres wet; not even the rim!I used to do it in my Chevette & Subsequent 'Sooty-Mobile' (Bedford Rascal)
Even as late as February 1998, it was still fairly driveable.
In winter the water did get deep & covered the (4foot above stream bed) bridge.
By November 2003 it was well over grown.
I went down on Monday with my waders, & within 15foot of entering the admittedly swollen stream it was almost to the top of the waders (3foot!!)
I've been given to understand that due to the local kids throwing all sorts of rubbish in, it's occassinally cleared out with a JCB & has at least one 4foot hole
In fact it'd probably be the same story if I tried to drive it :shock:
