Irate Passenger

(1/2) > >>

Frankie-Boy:
Today I was driving my company vehicle (which happens to be a 38 tonne Articulated truck) on the A605/A45 in Northamptonshire, near Thrapston, I spied a discovery overtaking me, I also spied a very irate passenger leaning right out of the window and shouting abuse and waving hands and fingers in various configurations at me as it sped by, this was I suspect a show of annoyance at travelling behind me at 40 mph no doubt.

I would like to point out to any person reading this, that I reserve the right to travel on this country's roads at the speed which by law I'm not legally able to exceed, that is 40 mph on single carriageway roads.

In my own small way I'm trying to preserve my clean licence, my job and therefore my livelihood and if anyone should have a comment about it, I would be only too pleased to enter into a conversation about it, so if you were driving that Discovery, please tell your passenger that I was obeying the law, not being awkward, and not to shout abuse at truck drivers, you could end up in dire trouble, lots of trucks have CB and most of us can pass registation numbers to and fro.

Rant over, soap box put away in shed.

 I use that one a lot - have to make sure the passengers dont see me though
I think part of the driving test should be done in an artic or coach - might make some people think twice before they cut us up
