<< < (2/4) > >>

V8MoneyPit:
Yep, just looking at Paddock Spares and they list at £39.70, so seems like a reasonable price  :)

Check whether it comes with a gasket..... a pain if you've got the old one off and find it doesn't!

timberdog:
Is it a hard job
I presume remove Pulley wheel first and securing bolts to water pump?

Remove old gasket and clean face of pump replacxe gasket and housing and then pulley back on?

Any tools i would deffo need?
Also how does the pulley come off?

V8MoneyPit:
Hmm.... now you are stretching my knowledge. Not sure about the specifics of the 200tdi. Usually, the pulley will be held on by 4 bolts. Then, as you say, disconnect the hoses, undo the securing bolts and it should come off. You may need to tap it gently to get it to free of it's locating dowels.

Xtremeteam:
its a piece of piddle to do the disco tdi waterpump apart from the bolt/stud that seizes in the casing & shears the head off     if all the bolts unscrew shouldnt take more than a hour to do,id expect the pump to come with a gasket as they normally do but get one incase as when you do the timing belt the waterpump has to come off

timberdog:
V8

Does that pulley have to come off?

Also how does the seals work inside as im inquisitive [!Expletive Deleted!] and why is the hole their saftey like?
