that bit stays on the waterpump as thats part of the shaft,
what you have in the pic is what the new one will come like

I had just done the last circlip on bottom hose on rad and was ready to fire her up for the first time and the trickle of water started i was ready to launch the Rachet threw the Landy window :twisted:  :evil:

that hole is a pressure outlet for between the 2 seals as there is a thermal differance (i think),when it comes from there its gubbed & needs replaced
