Thanks everyone.  Sorry I did not reply but I have been driving all day  :D .

You really are your own worst enemy on the test, my nerves nearly done me in but a nice and friendly examiner helped me there.

I am probably going to visit family in Oxford this weekend but I will definitely be at whaddon (assuming I do not break the car first, I found a nice little lane near me :D ).

Thanks again.

I don't have any no claims.  I did have one year from when I was insured when I was 17 but it expires after 2 years  :( .

I do have a protected front end courtesy of Mr Bull bar and rear protection from Mr Tow Bar fitting  :D .

It is just off the Ongar road leaving Brentwood to Dodinghurst just after the second of two farm shops.  It actually leads into a road called Green Lane.

Yes I did.  The examiner was very friendly and asked abut my views on the danger of 4x4's on pedestrians.  I explained I understood the increased risk but that I believed the problem was made worse by the number of 4x4's on the road that do not need to be there.

Ok, I do not NEED one but I have and make good use of it, but without all the Chelsea tractors and the like, you would barely see a 4x4.

Unfortunately allot of people buy them as they will be safer for their children, but to hell with everyone elses kids?  I wonder how they will feel if their child is hit by someone who wanted their kids to be safe in a 4x4, especially if the paramedic was to explain if it had been a saloon or hatchback their child would still be alive?
