No Indicators!!
fram:
Was on the way home today and the indicators just stopped working. The fuse is fine, everything else on the indicator stalk works and the hazards are ok.
Any ideas?
Wanderer:
Discos have problems with the wiring on the stalk and wires sometimes break. Take it off and meter the leads. Solder the wire that's gone and you'll be away again.
As long as you've already checked everything else.
hobbit:
Could be the relay, or feed to the switch off the top of my head, not sure which relay it is though
Wolfie:
Same thing happened to me the other day. Having dismantled half the car I finally found that it was the hazard light switch that had self destructed, cutting off the feed to the indicator stalk but still allowing hazards to work.
This was on a Defender, but it's another possibility.
Regards
Andy

UMMM. Sounds like a job for someone that knows electrics then, not a strong point with me. Was hoping it might just be the flasher unit or relay gone, not that I'd know where to find them!! I'll have a look at the indicator stalk and the hazard switch and see if I can see anything wrong, if not I guess it's going to cost me an arm and leg for an auto electrician :( :( .
