Bush Tucker Man:
As I mentioned in a reply to the topic below, I re-called a Range Rover hybrid that was driven & built by Alvin Smith.

I've just looked on my shelves & put my hands straight on a copy of 'Hot Car', dated; August 1981, (price 60p- blimey  !!!)

Quite a few early-mid '80's copies of 'Street Machine' & 'Custom Car' as well - when they still had proper cars like Mk2 Zodiacs with 351ci V8's in, not namby-pamby Novas & Saxos

In 'Hot Car' (as I thought) there was a feature on this particular vehicle, I think it still looks good.

Moose:
A least Tony Pond hasn't driven it into a tree    ( need to be of a certain age to get that one )

Talking of Hot Car, Martin Hodder used to be the editor, isn't he now editor of one of the Land Rover mags ?

matthew:
I thought that was a Rover SD1? Or did he do a TR7 as well? I've got the Rover incident on video somewhere.

Bush Tucker Man:
Chris these issues are certainly pre-Hodder.

He edits 'LRE' by the way

Moose:
I think it was the TR7 or TR8 (Tony Pond)
The Leyland competition department didn't rally the SD1 as far as I know, the Dolly Sprint was the chosen steed prior the TR7 in 77.
