I don't want to appear to be running down Paddocks, but I personally wouldn't use the ones they sell for 25 quid..  I did...  once.

Thanks Tim i hear what your saying , what seals should i replace as i put it back together, would like to do a proper job of it.

muddyweb:
Are the swivel seals (the big ones which 'wipe' the ball) OK ?

They are a cheap part and if weeping worth doing at the same time.  You don't *have* to do any of the seals if they are OK... but it is worth getting the inner and outer hub seals just in case, they are only a few quid and good to have as spares.  It's also worth getting a new drive flange gasket, and a new hub nut lock-washer.

Brilliant Tim thanks for your advice, one final thing will there be anyone at sodbury selling new cv s or is it just second hand parts .

muddyweb:
You never can tell.  Just be careful of buying parts at sodbury though... you might not have much comeback if there is a problem and you don't get all the seller's details.

This might be useful if you've not done one before :
