THE-KERNEL:
I have driven 2 versions of the new model and although I do prefer the outside look of them the interior is CRAP!!! very shiny sprayed plasticy to match the colour scheme and it soon gets scratched off to reveal the black body, it then looks very messy. The internal switches are now finger end size and you need to be a nimble equivelant of a female size 6 to operate them under duress. No quick thump on the oversize switches as you are trying to gain control of the vehicle, forget it until you are back on the road!. The seating is a little firmer though and a tad higher making a more comfortable ride. I will stick with my TD4 2000 it's more user freindly.

There are some sneaky pics taken by a journalist in Autoexpress and featured in the Feb edition of Land Rover monthly. I will stay with my old W reg L series diesel thank you very much :? She has never let me down and so far has not needed any repairs  To reward her, she has just been bought a heavy duty A frame, sump guard and removable winch :P :P Next: 2" lift and bigger tyres :D :D
Would that equipment mess up the the fine "estate" lines of the 2006 model? Ford will end up making the Freelander look like a Honda CV or worse a BMW 3 :? Plus, as mine is an old 3 door, I have a soft back for the summer which gets rolled up - wind the hair (speed permitting!). No "ladyfreebie" is my perfect vehicle :D :D
kaney:
