They are sitting on three big bolts that go through the bottom of the
dog guard and then bungies hold them in place, So far so good and
no movment or horrible noises.

Wanderer:
Haven't you got some extra mounts on the top of your dog guard to the roof area Paul?
One of your earlier Discos had them I'm sure.

I'll have a look when I fetch it back here on Saturday.

I certainly remember us discussing the merits of adding an pair or more of L shaped brackets in front of the dog guard to stop it from moving forward in a quick stop situation :)

It might have been on the one you got off Alan. I can't keep up with all the names :)

Didn't have a dog guard in 'Buzz' (Alan's)

Might of been the 300dti 'Scooby' I fitted a high-lift on the dog guard in that.
