Noise from car stereos

<< < (2/5) > >>

Priglet:
If it is causing a nuisance then environmental health can be involved.

They can serve a notice on the person causing the nuisance and if that is ignored they can remove the stereo. I don't know how they'd respond to problems from car stereo's as usually they're dealing noise from properties but it wouldn't hurt to give them a call.

C C:
Hmmm some years ago we had a similar with lads parking opposite our house and drowning out the TV with their stereos.

At the time I had a rather Smokey old Range Rover fitted with a 6cyl York diesel. One day I finally lost my rag and reversed the car up to one of the hatchbacks open window and floored the throttle for a good 20 seconds. The poor boy couldn’t crank his window up fast enough as smoke engulfed his car. He was not best pleased but never parked there again.

Miniman:
Even better why not get a load of mates to arrive in there 4X4's and box them in for a few hours buy then the stereo will have flattened the battery and then let them go. Make sure you have a video camera on your 4x4 then when they try to get in it or do anything wrong you can get them done for crim damage. If you do box them in get us a photo.....

TUFFTEE:
Surely Plod could do them for "driving without due care and attention"? As we all know when the music is too loud when driving!
Music that Loud they would'nt be able to hear - say " An Emergency vehicle"

Xtremeteam:
having been ont other side of the fence with a really loud stereo (stop throwing bricks) in my last car i no for a fact that the police can do a few things

1-if the window is down & stereo is pumping you can be done for broadcasting without a license
2-if its bass notes that are being played, had a mate who had a warning for doing damage to listed buildings due to the vibrations
3-obvioulsy causing a noise offence
