can the front valence be removed from a disco leaving just the main bumper piece,

i want a winch bumper ideally but no money as just bought disco so just want to remove this piece before it gets smashed up in the ruts etc

have seen a few discos with this missing been and had a quick look at mine but i dont want to cut anything off really

who else has done this and how?

ive got a series 1 n reg disco commercial,

cheers thumbs

Mace:
It's easy to remove, just follow the sequence of bolts and it'll come off. That said you'll then find you need to remove and trim the end caps. These you will definately have to cut in half and won't go back on if you ever decide to go back to original look.

Colin 009:
Just do what I did and go offroading, with it on and when you get it caught up on something, you'll have a laugh as you rip it off and chuck it in the back of your motor.

I say this as it can bit a bitch to get off useing tools.

if ive got to cut the end caps anyway to remove it and still look ok i think ill go with your approch colin till the bank manager will let me buy a winch bumper!

ive got a winch siting in garage off my suzuki so soon hopefully,  :(

driftwood:
