Same here , 235,85,16 on rostyles, although my flat tyre buisness is getting me concerned with the rims.

I've run 235/85's on Defenders for 5 years with no lift and had no problems. As 235/70 are smaller tyres you won't need a lift to fit them.

If you don't want to lose some of your steering lock with fatter tyres put wheel spacers on - mine have the bonus of making the wheels far enough apart that I no longer need to slow down over speed cushions :P  :P

Priglet- what size are the spacers you are useing? and have you had any wheel bearing probs ?.  what make are the spacers ?
