Centre console colour

The centre console in my Discovery is a bit broken ... the holes around the mounting screws are split/broken and the fixing lugs for the window switch panel are all broken off except for one.

So, I was going to look for a new (secondhand) centre console - are they all the same colour for a specific year/model, or will I need to find out what colour I have at the moment?

I have mine outside, but don't have a camera with me.....

If you post a picture of yours I can compare it to mine if you like.

Mine is the same as a friend of mine's - he has a 96 and has electric seats, this means he has a set of switches on the side that we don't need / don't have.

Make sure you get the right one, a manual box centre consol can be modified to fit an auto, but an auto can't, due to the width of an auto fitment. You end up with a big hole to lose thing down.

Also I brought a secondhand one of e-bay and was told it would fit a 300tdi or a TD5, it will but there are differences, where modification is necessary.
