Little Langdale Tho there was no no entry signs when went through just dead end.

The heli at stanope is a bit exssesive must of been just after they got it New toy and all that.  A Tractor and a good throw would have got that out.

Ive seen vehicles a lot further downstream than that.

D'oh!!

I must admit I'd not looked at that particular thumbnail

My 110Tdi was taken when we were stopping at a country hotel in Hawes & had ventured further up for the day.
It was the first time I'd been up there, & sadly the only time so far :(

I liked Barnard Castle & looking across to the Bowes Museum as you drop off the moor road (by a quarry?) High Force is a nice spot as well (if only 70 foot high)

It must have been the same time I photographed Mortham Tower

I see from the Multi-Map, there was a Lido at Whorlton, but can't find any photos of it. Do you kow if it was a Lido in the accepted sense

I dont know I dont think Ive ever been to Whorlton

There is a open air pool (dont think its classed as a Lido) next to the ford at Stanhope.
There is some very nice "white" roads in that area used to go for days out driving quite often when I had, whats it called Oh yes free time, Funny havent been out as much since got Whinne! strange that.

Consett, Alston, High Force and Stanope via as many "whites" as possible rings a bell
