Driving me nuts :(
Hightower:
--- Quote from: "hobbit" ---Thin disc shield maybe?
--- End quote ---
Both disc shields removed, so can't be them.
--- Quote from: "thermidorthelobster" ---Is it your rear diff guard
--- End quote ---
No, nice QT one as well, with all the bolts nice and tight.
--- Quote from: "ChrisW70" ---Baffle come loose in an exhaust box possibly
--- End quote ---
Haven't got a centre box anymore, and the rear one doesn't seem to make any noise when I thump it.
--- Quote from: "gords" ---Does it only happen as you go over the bump, or does it carry on for a bit afterwards
--- End quote ---
Only as the axle hits the bump.
Thanks for the replies chaps. Will be out there again this evening checking splash panels as suggested and thumping other bits that may look like they could work their way loose
Jimbo:
Simon,
What about the exhaust downpipe flexi joint - is it rattling and the noise is being transmitted down the pipe towards the back end ??

Jim, no problem with the downpipe since you sold me the replacement
hobbit:
Have you looked around the body panels to see if they have rusted away somewhere, if you have mud flaps they are swines for attracting rust
Another thought might be the shock absorber outer shields
davidlandy:
shock absorber mount?
