and the dog yes she  loves the water, shame my cv's dont

Range Rover Blues:
You need to remove the stub axle rather than the swivel to do the CV joints, but once they are off you could do the swivel seals without messing around setting the bearing preload.

You really need to buy a manual!

Order of work is something like

Remove calliper complete with brake lines from the hub/knuckle and secure out of the way
remove drive shaft
removed hub and disk, clean and regrease bearings at your discretion
remove stub axle
remove CV joint and inner half shaft
disconnect steering link(s)
remove swivel assembly complete
remove large grease seal from swivel housing

Check swivel preload at this point

Rebuild as reversal of the above.  None of the parts are that heavy.

seph234:
ok thanks RRB, i do have a haynes manual but they never tell you like it is i think the disco they work on is shiney from the show room and all bolts slide out withease and they never seem to shear anything off

has anybody had the paddocks cv's and what do they reckon?

Wanderer:
Get yourself a pukka Lanrover Discovery manual. They are around £30 but worth their weight in gold.
