Axel

Wanderer:
I automatically thought rear axle. Although looking back Dave didn't say.

Is t'other Dave psychic? :)

Ed
PS I reckon Tim's dead right. Disco radius arms are wider than SOME RR ones.

strangerover:
Disco and 87> RRC have same axles... its the defenders that have the narrower radius arms... I know as we have done some swapping about.

Xtremeteam:
totally agree with the radious arms being different widths as you have to buff the later arms bushes down to get them in an early axle,if its an 93 disco it might have the 24 spline internals BUT if you are swapping the COMPLETE axle it should bolt straoght up,tthe problems ocur when you start to mix & match between the 2

Dave:
Sorry Ed  forgot to say if front/rear it is the front. i have managed to rip off the panhard rod mount on the front axel and put a big dent in the diff pan.

Range Rover Blues:
Trying too hard there Dave?

You should be fine if it's an EFi Rangie as the front end went metric and it got the bigger radious arms.  With the weight involved I'd suggest you pull the swivels out and keep them as-is, you only need to swap the casing and possibly diff to be on the safe side.  Did you ever swap that noisy diff or is now the time?
