2" lift. Dumb question number 1

(1/5) > >>

Bob696:
OK got all the bits sorted and just about to take one of the shocks off.

BUT

I cant remember wether the short springs go on the back or on the front

I also wonder if I should be doing this myself

Hi Bob
I've just fitted a 2" lift to my 90.
If yours are the same as mine, the shorter (heavier gauge) springs go on the front
Jeff

Bob696:
cheers 4 that  :)

Just about to get the 1st spring out ..... daisy is being a right b**ch at the moment nearly 4 hours and I have only just lifted the 1st damper out :-(

muddyweb:
Just to add a bit of confusion... on a 90, the front offside spring is usually about 1/2" - 1" longer than the nearside when uncompressed.

[!Expletive Deleted!], why is nothing ever simple

I have 2 pairs of springs 1 pair is 418mm and the other is about 450mm.

Given up for the night as I need some spring compressors.
