I should have turned back but...well... you know how it is!

I’d been trundling 5 miles or so along a really long (for Norfolk :shock: ) lane. It was quite open for the most part. The last quarter of a mile or so was however rather tight and very itchy scratchy.
Well after cleaning the car I’ve noticed that I have got myself some lovely long longitudinal scratches mostly on the passengers side but one or two on the other.

I’ve seen that the RAC do a scratch repair service. Just wondering if anybody has had any experience of them.
Or should I just go over the car with colour magic and stop worrying about it.

Call them trail badges :D or try T cut

Failing that, obtain a number of a mobile valeter and tell them you need your car mopped.
Should cost about £50.
Mopping is a machine polish, using deep cut polish. Removes *most* scratches.
The best way to tell if they can be removed is to run your finger nail over the scratch (if its a horizontal scratch run your nail vertically across)
If your nail catches, it wont look much better.
If you cant find a mobile valeter, ask at a body shop (repair center), they can mop too.

If before you go laning you give the sides a good heavy wax - the body wont get as badly scratched, having it mopped every time you go out  will cost hundreds by the end of the year, just acept the trail-badges it gives character .
