Here is the conversion so far...

All done in one day starting at around 11am and finishing at around 5pm

So took the viscous unit trasnfer box off the V8 auto and put it onto the TDi auto to start with.

Next removed the V8 as the pic below shows.  Great when you have a fork lift!!!!!!

Using the template from M+N Engineering you cut the mounts off, and then using the steering box holes you bolt it on. Line up the engine mount and then prep the chassis.  Weld on and the mounts are done.  We had the mounts on in less than 30 mins!!!!

The we took the 300tdi with auto and BW transfer box and hoisted it as high as it would allow! And dropped the tdi in.

Man handled the gear box till the engine sat on the mnounts and then using a jack, jacked up the gear box and bolted that in.

Sat the rad in and drilled the mounts.

Had a beer

Need to plumb it all in now and wire it this weekend and it should be a runner!  Jobs a good un!!!

Littledan:
looking good mate :D

karloss:
Only a Land Rover owner would go to the bother of painting the brackets up when the rest of the chassis is still covered in crap, rust and goo!!
Good on yer fella!
