Ladder/Roof-Racks

Bush Tucker Man:
I've been offered a pair of long ladders, as long as they're collected, well they're essential with the height of this house.

So, with that in mind, and not having a normal roof-rack, will the standard 'cross-bars' be sufficiently strong enough to handle a 20' double ladder?

Not too sure if they're wood, or aluminium, so can't even give a rough weight.

I think even if I had a ladder-rack in the trailer they'd be too long (& the  Discovery roof line too high?)
