3D printers for rapid prototyping

Hi has anyone here or do you know someone who has access to a "3D printers for rapid prototyping"

I want to make a model Land rover and one of these machines would make it so easy.

The one in the Jewellery quarter in birmingham has one

One of those machines would also make it soooo expensive - there are about seven diffferent RP systems on the floor above me.

I'll try and make some enquiries.
