Odd Name For A Public House?

When we lived in Rochester in Kent our local was the "Who`d a thought it"
Never seen another one!  Spelling may have been a little more olde worlde, cant remember now.

My old local was originally the 'Welcome Inn' - the locals called it the 'Blazing Rag' as many years ago its where the fox hunt started from and they used to burn the rag with the fox scent on the open fire. Years later it was renamed 'The Blazing Rag'. How true I dont know - I'm off to read my local pub history book :D
