--- Quote from: "Pike" ---its ok saying "get a 200tdi 90" but have you seen what they fetch these days its stupid money for what you get(or dont get) ......and im not sure about gettting a 2.5 n/a diesel, too slow, and noisy and ive heard reports about bad reliability and as this is my daily drive to work and back I need summat thats gonna start on a cold morning. If Landrover designed a 90,the germans built it and the japs put their engine in it it would be perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are right, Landys are very badly built. But so was the Jeep and the parts and servicing are insane money, XJ's are good offroad but the steering joints are exposed and are expensive to replace, all that negatice stuff in my last post isnt exaggerated, it really did have all those problems, it was a crate with a loverly engine!
Range Rover Blues:
There is a reason the US army drive Defenders!
RRC are a good buy at the moment, the dash is a bit hard on all but the soft-dash classics, and you wouldn't buy one of these to trash. All cars subjected to mud will rot, you can't stop it. Thing is you can fix a landie, new sill on a RRC/Disco cost £50 a side pluss some effort, and that's a lot of metal for the money.
It's been said and I am forced to agree, Mitsis are often less abused and give you a lot of car for the cash, often in better nick, less oily etc. etc.
But then did you go to Whaddon, it was green ovals as far as the eye could see.
