Not good news
Dirty Gertie:
Well, I've had a call from 'Uncle' George at the Landy hothdiggle, and the news is not good  : in addition to a FUBAR rear diff bearing, I've also managed to twist both rear half shafts too - trouble is, his regular parts supplier quoted £115 (for the short side!! ) and doesn't carry 2nd hand ones, as apparently they "never break" - we know different to that, don't we children??
It's £15 for series H/S, and there's a whole half bloody inch difference in length!!
Now, the question is, does anyone know of a decent supplier who does 90 half shafts for less than a 2nd mortgage, and can get them delivered to Leicestershire for Thursday? Apparently the price depends on chassis/axle serial No.- chassis no I have on my logbook, but axle no is...... on the axle, which is on HL, who is not here - hopefully, I'll be able to get it later tonight or tomorow. Frustrating or what?? If anyone has any helpful ideas, please bring 'em on!!
(BTW, they are 10/24 spline; I also need end caps)
Thanks peeps!

Put your model and year in there... and it ought to give you the right one.
Failing that, PM me with your reg details and I can probably give you the right part number.
For 115 quid, you can get HD shafts !
Dirty Gertie:
Thanks Tim, will have a look!! :)
hingmy:
Are they floating or semi floating shafts? I've a pair of semi floating r/r - disco style rear shafts in the shed if they're any use.

I have made use of http://www.partsgateway.co.uk quite a few times since having my Discovery
Enter the part(s) you are looking for and a number of breakers will come back with quotes (if they've got it). No commitment - if the price suits you buy - if not you don't!
