Strut bars
strapping young lad:
this isnt aimed at landies or similar as such its for those who own normal cars..
been reading on articles where people have bought strut bars for the front shock mounts.
ive seen one on ebay for mine but want to know will i notice the difference and are they worth having?
Barry Scott:
I work for a performance modified car insurance company and they are quite a common modification for our clients.
They can make the car handle better by reducing body flex in the same way that a hardtop does over the convertable counterpart. Hence the hardtop versions are usually slightly better on track.
Depends on what type of car you have as to if you see a difference or not.
iianorthants:
yep firmed up my cav, when i used to be a bit of a boy racer :) dropping cars messes up geometry which in turn puts undue force on struts, can get rear ones too !!!
yes... i did own a boy racer cav 4x4 16v chippped, lowered and big wheels etc.etc :) now gone raised route with big tyres.
Barry Scott:
iianorthants, my little cousin wants me to put neons on my Frontera and some spinner alloys. When I asked her how I would pay for £10,000 chrome spinners and why on a £1000 4x4, she said just the platic ones........
Give me a C
Give me a H
Give me an A
Give me a V
What do you have, chav (hey, that ryms).
fram:
We had one fitted when we had the PUG XSI, did make a difference and that was to a car which handles really well anyway. Realtively cheap mod that's worth doing.
