Original Landrover Radio
Wanderer:
Shouldn't be a problem on a 300.
On a 200 It can be easier if you loosen the console as you fit the radio to allow you to take the connector blocks away to one side of the radio leaving as much room as possible under the bottom/end of the radio.

Ive just fitted a sony cd/mp3 head unit, the ISO fittings were all the same, the only thing ive had to sacrifice is the volume and tune buttons on the dash, fitted great first time tho no problem - sounds great too!
hobbit:
As ed said with the 200 its gets a bit tight, but also can get a bit hot too, I have a mp3 player unit in and every time I change the cd, they are well warm, have to drill some vent holes through the console, on either side of radio, and fit a 12v computer extractor fan to ventilate it.
joe90:
was that in the 200 or 300 series hobbit? Mindue i had a new Fiesta Zetec last February which had a CD Player, the disks got really really hot in that head unit too.
Wanderer:
Kev's is a 200 same as mine.
I've also considered some cooling method as the MP3 player does get quite warm. There's not much ventilation in the area of the console.
