Mixed Bag Of Missed Photo Opportunities. Wednesday 13th July

(1/2) > >>

Bush Tucker Man:
Whilst on my way out yesterday I forgot to mention a few vehicles that I saw.

1. First off was the Bentley Continental GT pictured below. It was at a car dealers on the A650 on the way into Bradford. Presumably it belongs to the Dealer Principal?
Wonder how much that plate cost? (on top of the car)

2. Project Kahn showroom with 3 Range Rovers & a Discovery3 outside it (on Canal Road in Bradford)
Wonder if Andy can supply photos for us??

3. Whilst photographing Beckfoot Bridge (below) I'd had my waders on to walk in Harden Beck, as it was about 18" deep in order to get a good angle.
I'd just walked back (30yards) to the Discovery & was struggling to take them off.
MMMmm, kinky thigh-length green rubber   (just the thing for 'NPW')
A loud splashing & familar sounding diesel came my way.
A Bradford Council 110HCPU coupled to an I-W trailer had just come through
Damn!!!!

4. After descending  off the roads to Ilkley Moor, I was coming back down into Riddlesden & saw a challenge spec 90 at the side of the road. Sadly it was a mainly single track & I had a van behind me.
I'll pass this one to Andy as a challenge to photograph it
It was red, with yellow doors (& yellow waffles in place of the tail-gate) & located here

5. 1965(66?) Ford Mustang at Morley. Sadly in opposing traffic, sounded great though as it rumbled past 8)

6. As I climbed back out of Bradford on my way home I spotted this nice little Escort XLT 615S

7. Custom painted Scania & tank-trailer at Gildersome roundabout Bright yellow, with a Oil Refinery mural on the rear of the tank.
Saw it too late

EdIt @ 11:25
8. Forgot this one, I'd been to the branch of EXEL down at Whitwood to enquire about their views on newly entitled LGV drivers.
As I turned homewards, I saw this neglected looking Pop in a cul-de-sac.

alaric:
I've cycled through that ford, and yep, it's fairly deep (and rocky underneath)!

Some people
That's the kind of comment Andy (or Dyfed) always used to make.
No the one at Gildersome was a COE (Cab Over Engine) Scania, not a bonnetted.

It's a long way to ride from London.

Yes, it was fairly shallow yesterday. The last time I was there (about a year ago] it seemed considerably higher.

Nice place to have a house though.
The only real problem with it is the very restricted approaches )on both north & south) to the beck. It would be very awkward for a furniture van or such to get there.

Range Rover Blues:
Like the picture of the Escort, a 4 door popular is quite a rare car nowadays.
