has any body driven one, we are thinking of having one, as i would like to take my mum & dad out with us, so we need an eight seater, as we have 4 very growing fast boys!!
if any body got one what is the bad points to watch out for apart from the obvious.
any comments would be appreicated. like fuel consumption, and handling as i will using it for work.

Unless there is a different variant, the Delica is a 7 seater...
It's basically an MPV body on a Pajero/Shogun chassis and running gear - so drive and handling are similar.
It's more comfortable as a road car, and much better as an MPV, but not as good in the rough stuff.
Part are also more of an issue, as Delicas were never sold in the UK, so there are more specialist parts than for a Pajero, as this is almost identical to a Shogun.
If you go ahead with a Delica, there are no major recuuring flaws with them, but it's better to look for the 2.8 diesel than the 2.5. It's slightly newer, gives 120+ hp over 80 or so in the 2.5, and has a cam chain instead of a belt.
Hope this helps a bit...
Alaric.

redneck:
I have one :D love it :D I use mine as a work van as well as the family runaround
There are seven or eight seat versions, mine's the seven seat version with the front and middle row being captains style seats, the eight seat version hes a bench seat in the middle row.

I service a 2.8 for a Customer. I tended to find it a bit un nerving when I first drove it, the body seems to roll a bit more than most 4x4s. It's just being a bit higher than most. But they are Good trucks.
