War of the Worlds
Vam:
Saw this yesterday with the 7 year old....
Very good, but very grim and very very Scary!
Cam's usually not phased by anything too scary... he loved Dr Who ( which freaked his big brother out to begin with)
but this was a 'bit' much. I felt scared!!!!
It does have a 'happy ending' which helps, but if you have little ones think twice before seeing this, personally I feel this should be a 15 at least.
There is little action violence, but it's the clever protrayal of threat and menace that weighs heavily throughout the film.
Having said all that, the little so and so wants to see it again and thought it was brilliant!
I want to see it again aswell!

One of the radio reviewers said he took his twelve-year-old and regretted it. Sounds like a good film though.
Bush Tucker Man:
Does America save the World????
As usually seems to be the case??

Acutally this time no...
It's more of a story of the individuals, and their struggle, which is why i think it's so scary.
IIRC the ending is as the orignial film.

TBH if i'd have seen it first, I wouldn't have let the little one. However, he really enjoyed it, I asked him afterwards if it had been 'too' scary and he replied with, 'a bit, but that was because it was a really good film..... it's only plastic and not really real Mum'
He's looking forward to seeing it again tommorow when we take HWMBO and his brother, he reckons he's big brother will 'scream like a girl'
Depends on the kids I guess, if they are into scary stuff they will love it, if they are sensitive, they'll hate it.
Tis a good film, well worth seeing
