Title: heater fan

went out in car tonight and had heater fan on 2 and all of a sudden stopped working so turned switch and have found it is only working on 3 and 4 now no 1 and 2 option working any ideas is it worth doing ie easy fix or what

P.S its a 5 door 2.0d Rreg if it makes any difference

It's going to be the resistor pack, very common fault on most cars.
Haven't got the manual to hand at the moment but they are usually an easy fix, I have done them on a few vehicles in the past and they don't tend to be burried in the depths of the dashboard. They usually aren't too expensive either, do a parts search through a couple of the dealers websites or just ring a parts dept tomorow.
