Title: P38 compressor
Post by: piggysteve on January 22, 2013, 18:28:17
Got fed up with the compressor taking ages to get the suspension back up so bit the bullet and bought a seal and liner kit. Turned out to be easier than I thought ( for a change ), pumps up really quickly now getting to pressure in 15 secs or so. Interestingly it doesn't drop on the stops now. Best £24 I've spent for ages.

I've got a spare compressor just in case mine goes on a wobbly but good to hear the innards can be changed easily and cheaply.

it's worth replacing the liner for the sake of an extra few quid, mine looked quite bad

P38s are easier than RRC because the bolts don't rust and snap off.  If the pump comes apart easily it's a pretty quick job.

Worth buying a seal AND liner kit though and the graphite impregnated seals are really good.
