Title: P38 Clock bulb?????????
Post by: Range Rover Ron on December 31, 2011, 18:39:27
Hello MC'ers,

First of all happy new year to you all,
there's five hours left of 2011 as I write this post.
Right.......down to my question!

How can I replce a blown bulb in my P38's clock (time clock) on the dash,
I've had a butchers and there seems no obvious entry point.
Any advice or pointing in the right direction would be mnuch appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
Ron.

I don't know if it's the same clock as the softie but on that I had to remove the stuff around it then prize off the bezel (thought I'd bust it) then carefully prize out the 3 clippy fingers holding it in.  Bit of a sod to do and there is no obvious way in.

A bit of a pain to remove, unless you can pry it out from the front (there's 4 clips but very securly held in) you'll need to remove the switch console, that requires thewindow switch panel to be removed, side panels, drivers side knee bolster, instrument binicle suround and stereo. While you're there you may as well renew all the bulbs in the switches and aircon control too....... Deatailed how to in Rave if you have a copy

Cheers RRB & Piggy,
happy new year to you both,
sounds like it's better to put up with not being able to see the clock in the dark!
No wonder the previous owner left it.
If I ever strip it down I'll sort it out.
Thanks,
Ron.
