wheel wobble
« on: September 24, 2010, 19:24:50 »
wheel wobble on full lock on a gc 51 plate. it feels like the tyres are rubbing on full lock and i was wondering if anyone has ever come across this before. iv checked on a few forums and they say its either normal behaviour for the lsd or to top up the diff oil with a friction modifier additive or something?? sounds a bit foreign to me,  any ideas please, thanks

what size tyres are you running std or large. if the fronts are "jumping" on full lock then this happens with the 32's fitted to my xj are on full lock. this is just down to the steering geometry changing slightly

Doesn't a 51 plate GC have quadra track II with the LSD in both the front and the rear axle?  If that's the case then swapping out the front diff oil and replacing with an LSD modifier might well cure the problem. Does sound like you might be binding on full lock.
