Title: Nissan Patrol 2004
Post by: Smego on June 04, 2009, 20:54:21
Does anyone know where I can get a cheap harness to convert my NATS double din stereo leads in a patrol to standard DIN so I can put my new ICE in,

If not anyone have a wiring diagram as there are a few wires I can't suss even with a DVM?

Tried the ones on e-blag but the connectors are different!!

Thanks,
Gary

Is the NATS bit on a seperate plug ? if it is then you should get away with a normal converter harness from ebay of Halfrauds. IIRC the NATS part just stops you from swopping the headunit over to a different patrol as it is coded to the NATS systems but I could be wrong

no completely differant plugs even the dealer is confused, I think there is an amp somewhere else, when I am off in september I will strip it all out and wire in an iso direct to the speakers!!

If you can't find a harness to fit then I think the best way would be to see if your motor will start/run with the factory head unit unpluged & if it does then just tap into the wiring harness on the other side of the plug

After MUCH trying it seems the options I have are either to remove lots of the panels and rewire the whole stereo system OR give up sell the digitv/dvd/sd card stereo I brought and just by a blo ody i pod and radio connector!

So it's going on e-bay, thanks for the help anyway but no one seems to be able to supply a connector if you have the top-range NATS stereo!

Gary.

Not the same as the connecters (two of them) Out of the head unit and in dash CD player, I will look again for the amp but another forum thinks it is in the rear quarter behind the panels - a pain to get to.

Thanks for the info I will let you know tomorrow how I get on, what year is yours?
