Title: replacement brake pipes
Post by: carole on November 19, 2010, 23:00:37
A while ago a friend of mine saw some pre-made steel brake pipes for the section inside the front wing but cannot remember which website they were on.

It's 1997 R reg 2.0l diesel 5 door Freelander - not XEDi just basic model.

If anyone has replaced their's and knows where to get them please let me know. I know the pipes can be bought and made with a flaring kit etc but if they can be bought ready to fit it would be better.

Thanks in advance :)

I have recently changed my flexi pipes for braided. Trying to undo the connection just to replace the pipe was impossible. I gave all the connections that I needed to undo a good spraying days before doing the job. The pipe just twisted so I ended up chopping the pipe and making new sections to get the job done. My advice would be to get the proper tools for the job & be prepared that it might not go as easy as you think.
