Title: P38 starting problem wont turn over

Not been on here for a while ive just bought a 1998 range rover 4.6hse it has a starting problem.
When trying to start it the ignition key just clicks (relay) if I run a wire from the starter motor to the battery with the ignition on it will turn over and start any ideas what the problem might be would be great thanks in advance

Only message on dash is eas fault and key in ingnition

Yes they use a re;lay for the starter, so it could be the relay is burned out or not getting any power, not sure if that's an imobiser (doubt it) or power system problem.

Thanks got it sorted was the starter relay then the fuel pump relay started working when it see fit changed them both starts first time now :)
