Title: Cherokee
Post by: mass199 on July 05, 2010, 21:20:15
Going to look at one tomorrow, it's a 1999 4.0 on  lpg.

Already spoke to David at Llama 4x4 about the 3" lift and have been looking at 31" muds to go on it.

Will i be disappointed with this set up after running a LR 90 on 33"s for the last few years, or will i be happy having a heater, leather sets, air con, seats in the back for the kids, and other luxuries.

Cheers Mark

Believe me, mpg is not a problem, what i personally think is that although it goes like stink, runs like a dream, is as comfey as a bed with a hot chick, its just not rugged enough....

o yes i have but all that work just to make is as stiff and rugged as chasis based truck.
if you are in to self harming its a super truck to build in to a monster

All of the work is not to stiffen it up, it flexes and you gain from that - same as mogs need weight to get the chassis flexing to get the best from the truck

Well i bought it, good condition everything works, steel wheels a bit corroded though. I'm on the look out for some alloy wheels to put the big tyres on.      What other jeep wheels will fit?  It's a XJ Cherookee sport 1999.

Cheers Mark

Click here (http://www.roadkillcustoms.com/hot-rods-rat-rods/Wheel-Bolt-Pattern-Cross-Reference-Database.asp?LugCount=5&StudSpreadInch=4.5&StudSpreadMM=). It will show you all vehicles available in the USA that have 5x4.5" wheels.

Of course, you must look for the Cherokee, find it's centre bore and stud size, and look for models that have the same.

Without looking, I know that Wrangler YJ, TJ, Grand Cherokee ZJ, Cherokee < 2007, Chrysler Voyager fit. (Check the offset
on a voyager)
