Hello everyone
« on: August 26, 2014, 11:11:45 »
Hi. I just thought I would introduce myself.

Im Chris, Im from Doncaster, South Yorkshire and I drive a 2nd gen Hilux Surf.

I have had the truck nearly 2 years and its the first 4x4 I have owned. I have been using it for some light green laning with my friends (all land rover owners) and I have enjoyed it immensely. The Surf has served me well so far as I have gradualy upgraded it to better suit my needs. Considering the truck was standard when I bought it, its come a long way.

Removed rusty chrome bumpers, replaced front with pickup bumper.
31x10.50x15 mud tires on steel rims
2" suspension lift
1" body lift
custom bump stops to get every inch out of the IFS
and several other bits and pieces to both improve clearences, flex and just make life easier.

I currently have a few more bits and pieces in the works too.

I would be very interested in exploring some more varied green lanes as I have done most of the local ones more than a couple of times now. Im keen to see what else is out there.

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris and welcome to the club.  We're a bit quiet at the moment but a hard core few of us still meet up once a month in Mansfield for a drink.  You're not that far from me either by the looks of it, so if I ever get my off-roader fixed.......

I'm near Sheffield, there are still a few of use but we've all been very busy.
