Makes no reference to the egr system in that link. Also it is only a visual inspection to see if the dpf is still present.  As long as the emissions are met and the box is seen to be there there is no facility to check the guts of the dpf are present.  What I mean is that the tester can't take the exhaust apart to see if you have hollowed out the dpf. Also add in that there is now an advisory for under trays and engine covers as testers are not allowed to remove such items even to check things like brake fluid level.

As with so many things its a case of the government feeling the need to sound like they are doing something when in practice such things can't be reasonably implemented. We have seen it before and will again but nothing is really going to happen it never does.

On the other hand good luck to them as I like breathable air.
