Looks like i bought a heap
« on: February 12, 2013, 20:54:05 »
well since splitting with the wife at the start of the year decided i'd spunk some money on a 4x4. So hunted around and found a V plate Mitsubishi Challenger. Went to see it, handed over the money and began the 40 mile journey home. Sounds easy, well that was until we hit hermiston gate. Sparks were coming out the back of it so we stopped and checked it over. nothing. So continued the journey only for the bloody thing to go pop 2 miles up the road. The engine is shot so managed to buy another challenger from a local farmer which is rotten but with good engine. So took them both to the lock-up to start the swap and jesus christ... Now just a quick thing before we get into how bad. it is MOT'd till novemeber and went through with NO ADVISORYS. ha ha ha somone must be blind... So we fired it up on the ramps and the whole back end is rotten. like not a little. the chassis is knackered, the flooring under the boot is knackered. basically from the rear axle back is totally shot. so gonna change the engine and run it till either i find a breaker/exporter who will take them both for decent money or till i can get enough funds to buy something else. Already thrown the best part of £2k at it and now i'm not amused. And i aint even had the thing a week yet. To make things worse. it was bought from a trader with a yard and stuff but they seem to have dissappeared since i bought it so 2 dud motors, no money and a very angry ginger!!!
