can't reply to for sale threads! why..

As above... am I missing something.. I have checked the HELP sections with no clear answer..

For sale thread are locked to replies from 3rd parties, you have to Private message the seller. I believe this stop people trashing peoples forsale adverts with 'that's a rip off' or 'i have this for sale cheaper' or just having an off topic discussion. Maybe admin can put it into better words.
