front axel

We need to replace our swivel on our axel but i dont no what the axel is of can any one tell me the id on the case is a18L009920
ive messaged paddocks a week ago but had no response we ordered last year a swivel seal kit and that came with the wrong top pin so we trying to make sure we get things right now

dont think there is a difference between a 90 disco rrc on the swivels are they 10 or 24 spline abs non abs

its 10 spline and from what ive looked at on line i think it's a range rover pre 84 axle

sounds to me like the last kit you had was for an abs model you talking about the top king pin at the top what was the problem

The seal was leaking from the ball ordered the kit minus ball and like you say top pin was different so used old one but still leaks
looked on line and seal part number same for both so think it may just be the ball as it has few spots but not as bad as some ive seen

Earlier seal was 12mm thick, l ater seal was 9mm thick, IIRC!

As said the pin/bearing wasn't changed until the ABS axles arrived and they used a RAILKO style top bush like the Defender axle.  Eventually they all got the 300 TDi axle (simplified history but you get the idea)
