Lada Niva - any good??

Found a Lada niva for sale local, cheap, got a suspension lift and some mud tyres on it, are they any good offroad????

Supposed to be brilliant :D

Have a look on difflock - there's a section dedicated to them.

Think you need to be a colourful character to own one though ;)

I had one a few years back, very good off road due to being light weight and having a rear diff lock. They can be a bit fragile and tend to rot, good laugh though.

Poor mans Range Rover, brilliant off road, just suffer from poor build quality.

If it's cheap then it could be a lot of fun for not much money.  At least the gearbox drowns out the engine noise!

They are brillant as standard.Stick a 2 inch lift on with some decent MT'S..

Total Off Road tried a new one recently (now available in the UK again, LHD only) and loved it. Went everywhere they could ask and then some!
