diesel conversion
« on: August 12, 2010, 21:43:44 »
im seriously thinkin of converting the rangie to diesel again, lol,i know some people may think its not worth it,but i love the old girl, cant bring myself to rid of it to go down to one vehicle,so this is why im goin down this route,my question is,can anyone tell me how much their insurance went up being it a modification, also,im going automatic tdi,200 tdi i think,i know the gearbox for the diesel will be in the same place as the v8 one, cause its only difference is internally, but what about engine mounts, how do you go about finding where they go,one kind person advised me that for a manuel conversion, they go inside the v8 ones after you've cut them off,but what about auto, any help much appreciated, jim

The gearbox is not in exactly the same place on the 300, don't know about the 200.
