MOD QUAD BIKES?

Not seen one before...



Spotted two of these cute quads towing neat trailers on the Northern Transit Route along with a racer style dune buggy and one of those Jackal MWMIK's.  The guys on the quads and dune buggy had big grins on their faces.

So are the quads and dune buggy normal kit now?

Must be, several army quads and their trailers have been coming up for sale in MOD auctions.

Yes, they were purchased as a UOR (Urgent Operational Requirement) for Op Herrick. 

They are used mostly by the standard Infantry for re-supply & casualty extraction.  They are a VERY useful piece of kit  :clap:

i think theyre yamaha grizzlys, which are immense, we used to have one. great bits of kit!!!!
